Eric Moseley

Eric is interested in the dynamics and evolution of dust in interstellar plasmas. He investigates this topic with numerical simulations, as well as analytically. At Stanford, he hopes to elucidate the connection between dust and polarization on length scales at the cusp of what is currently observable. He is also interested in numerical methods for fluid dynamics and plasmas, cosmic rays, and resonant instabilities. He is particularly interested in studying resonant interactions between dust and cosmic rays. Eric earned his BS in astrophysics from Caltech in spring 2018, and his PhD in astrophysics from Princeton in the summer of 2024. He is now a KIPAC fellow at Stanford.
