Jay Baptista

Jay is a Physics Ph.D. student from Lahaina, Hawai’i. He was a first-generation college student who attended Yale College and received a B.S. in Astrophysics. His main research interests are in the formation and evolution of galaxies, and his rotation project is focused on how the topological properties of filamentary structures can be used as a novel metric for population-level statistics of these objects. In his free time, Jay enjoys snorkeling, painting, and paddleboard surfing.
