Kaitlyn Karpovich

Kaitlyn is Physics Ph.D. student from Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. She received her B.S. in Physics and Italian Studies from Villanova University, where she studied magnetic fields in the Center of the Milky Way Galaxy using the FIREPLACE SOFIA Legacy Survey. She continues to use polarimetric data from the HAWC+ instrument on SOFIA to study interstellar magnetic fields and their role in the process of star formation. In her free time, Kaitlyn likes to play horn, make clay sculptures, and do jigsaw puzzles.
