Marta Nowotka

Marta is a Physics PhD student from Poland. She attended the United World College in Bosnia and Herzegovina and received a BA in Physics and Mathematics from Colorado College. She is broadly interested in observational probes of magnetic fields in our Galaxy across all scales and wavelengths, with a particular focus on Zeeman splitting of the 21 cm line. Most recently, Marta has been pursuing new observations of the Zeeman effect in HI absorption with the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, paragliding, foraging, and quilting.
